Whodunit? An Improvised Murder Mystery

Classic whodunits with a twist: it’s all improvised! Our actors weave webs of secrets, deception, and mystery as we wind our way through a different murder each week. Last year’s Whodunit? was a huge success, and we’re thrilled to solve new mysteries this year!

Wakefield Idol

Thursdays, Jan 11 – Mar 22 at 7 pm

Wakefield Idol is a karaoke-style singing competition where 64 local singers compete for a $1500 cash prize! In the final rounds, the audience votes to see who goes on! It’s our most popular event of the year, so get your tickets early to check out all of the amazing local talent we have!

Poets Speaking Up

Mar 25 at 1 pm

Come to an afternoon of poetry performed with passion all on the theme “Living for Today: Finding Your Mojo.” This event is always a wonderful and powerful afternoon showcasing local poets for a local cause! This year, the presenters have chosen the Contemporary Theater Company as the non-profit recipient. We are thrilled and honored to host this event once again. Tickets available at the door.

Micetro Improv

Our troupe of improvisers make up scenes and songs on-the-spot in great improvised shows! Every Friday, enjoy Micetro, our flagship improv show! Players compete for your votes and the title of Micetro in this fun-filled night!

Life on the sidelines – minor characters in the most famous play in English-speaking history. What do you do while waiting for Hamlet to come around? Rosencrantz & Gildenstern consider life, fate, and what it all might mean as they stumble through their misadventures.

Need some inspiration? The Contemporary Theater Company is hosting Ignite South County on April 20 at 7 pm to provide a boost of motivation to make a difference in the community.

Ignite features five minute talks with auto-advancing slides at events held throughout the world. In the style of TED Talks, Ignite features speakers discussing a topic that they are passionate about, all working to live up to the tagline – “Enlighten us, but make it quick.”
