Auditions for Summer Season
On Sunday, March 25 from 6 pm – 10 pm and Monday, March 26 from 5 pm – 10 pm, The Contemporary Theater Company will hold auditions for their summer mainstage productions, Peter and the Starcatcher, directed by Maggie Cady and Unnecessary Farce, directed by Rebecca Magnotta, and outdoor Shakespeare on the Saugatucket productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Matt Fraza and Romeo & Juliet, directed by Tammy Brown.
Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute comedic (or semi-comedic) monologue. You may also prepare a 1-2 minute Shakespeare monologue if you would like, but it is not necessary to be considered for the Shakespeare shows.
Auditions will be held in the theater unless otherwise Email Maggie Cady at email@example.com or call (401)-218-0282 to sign up for an audition slot. Each slot is 15 minutes long. Please indicate in your email which date and time would be best for you.
No roles for children under 15 at this time. The CTC frequently casts across given character descriptions of gender, race, and age, so we encourage everyone to audition for any show that they are interested in.
Resumes and headshots are not necessary, but are welcome.

A police sting goes wrong when the money trail leads them from the bumbling mayor straight into the outstretched arms of the Scottish mob. When you hear those bagpipes, you know you’re in trouble. A modern farce with lots of physical comedy, some romantic entanglements, and unexpected mobsters!
